Canada Without Medal

rsz_paralympic.jpg Heartbreak for the Canadian Paralympic hockey team last night.

Norway defeated Canada 2-1 in the bronze medal game at the UBC Thunderbird Arena.

Norway's Eskil Hagen scored what many are calling a fluke winning goal with 4-seconds left in regulation.

Hagen is no stranger to dashing Canadian Olympic hopes, he scored both goals to beat Canada 2-0 in the 1998 gold-medal game in Nagano.

Team Canada, who won gold at the 2006 Paralympic games, was hoping for a gold medal to continue the winning streak of both the men's and women's Olympic teams.

Instead, the team walked away fourth.

Their biggest upset in the tournament was a loss to Japan 3-1 in their semi-final on Thursday.
