Portage's Arron Asham is enjoying his summer vacation, although he admits it would be better with a signed contract for next season.
The 11-year NHL veteran is still without a contract after spending the last two seasons in Philadelphia. He says it's tough to go through a summer like this but he understands it's part of the business.
Asham says signings have been a bit slow this year but he expects it to pick up after Ilya Kovalchuk signs his deal. He notes there has been interest from Vancouver and Edmonton but Philadelphia is still his first choice.
