The 2009-10 crop year comes to an end on Saturday, meaning growers should be aware of a number of deadlines. Mavis Willson, Canadian Wheat Board program service representative, explains the deadline to commit tonnes to the 2010-11 FlexPro program is Friday at 9pm. "Normally we don't start offering prices for the FlexPro program until the beginning of August, but this year we started offering it on July 19th," says Willson. "We did that for producers maybe considering using the program. It will give them a price signal to compare with the Fixed Price program." A number of other important delivery program, cash advance and producer payment option deadlines also arrive this week. |
