French Fries were the item of the day at the annual Portage Potato Festival.
Another Portage Potato Festival is in the books.
Despite persistent rain, the annual festival took place on the island with an arm wrestling competition, a battle of the bands and some great entertainment.
Festival Chair Jim McDonald says one group in particular lent a helping hand to make sure the night's performers sounded great.
McDonald also gave a big thanks to the volunteers and Dave Green and the staff of the PCU Centre.
He says the organizing committee is already looking ahead to next year's Potato Festival which they plan to hold indoors. McDonald says it will be great to not have to worry about the weather.
