Kasdorf Goes To The Jets
Jason Kasdorf was taken with the 157th overall selection at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
It seems like a fairy tale story.
Jason Kasdorf, the young netminder who contemplated quitting hockey at 14, only to keep going, become a solid goaltender with the Winnipeg Thrashers midget program, guide the Portage Terriers to an Anavet Cup championship and then get drafted into the NHL.
The final part of that story came true on Saturday and it couldn't have had a better twist. The team selecting Kasdorf, the Winnipeg Jets.
Terriers Head Coach Blake Spiller says it's a great day for both Kasdorf and the Portage Terriers organization.
