Do you have questions about your financial security or planning for the future? A representative from the Portage Credit Union will be at the Herman Prior Centre on Thursday, July 31st at 11:00 am to talk about financial planning, security and scams, and substitute decision making. Refreshments will be served.
Need someone to talk to, or want to make some new friends? Join us at the Herman Prior Centre for “Table Talk”, at 1 pm every Thursday. All ages are welcome.
The Prior Centre is planning a trip to Folklorama on August 6. We will be visiting the Romanian, Serbian and Chilean Pavilions. The bus leaves at 4:30 pm and returns at midnight. The cost is $110 for members/$120 for non-members and includes appetizer, dinner and dessert. Only a few days left to sign up for this fantastic trip!
Enjoy a fall supper with a twist! We will be going to the Gross Isle Fall Supper aboard the Prairie Dog Central on Saturday, September 27th. Cost is $75.00 for members/$80 for non-members and includes bus to Winnipeg, train and supper. This trip books up fast, so be sure to reserve your seat by August 7th.
A Summer Picnic Supper will be held on August 17th at the Herman Prior Centre. Tickets are $13.00 and must be purchased by August 15th. Supper includes chicken, ham, potato salad, macaroni salad, veggie salad, buns and dessert.
A group from the Herman Prior Centre went to the new Sand Hills Casino near Carberry last week, and everyone enjoyed the trip. We will be going again on August 20th. The trip costs $35.00 for members/$40.00 for non-members and includes the bus and a buffet lunch.
We will be going to Rainbow Stage on August 26 to see the matinee of “The Little Mermaid”. The bus leaves at 11:00 am and returns about 5pm. The cost is $65 for members and $75 for non-members.
There will be a trip to the Narcisse Snake Dens on September 16th. The cost is $35 for member and $40 for non-members, and includes lunch in Teulon. Call or drop by the Herman Prior Centre to sign up for any of these trips.
The Prior Centre has a computer room available for members and the public. You can use the computers for a drop-in fee of $2.00. We will also be offering computer classes for seniors in the fall. Call Haley at the Herman Prior for details.
