The Portage Curling Club Men's Championship final was a tight match-up right to the last shot.  Doug Jordan was able to steal one in the 8th and final end to win title by a final score of 5-4 over Dean Moxham's rink.

A series of clutch shots in the 8th made for a dramatic finish with Dean Moxham missing the knockout with the hammer.  Doug Jordan says Dean Moxham's rink, which consisted of his two sons and father-in-law played a great game.  He says his heart goes out to the Moxham family adding he knows what it's like to play with family both on the winning and losing side.  Jordan says the game could have gone either way with Dean Moxham having the chance to win it with the hammer.

Jordan says everybody was cheering for Dean Moxham's rink as his team was cheering for them too, adding if his team couldn't win the championship they wanted Moxham to.  Jordan adds the final was a passing of the torch of sorts, saying Brett and Brady Moxham are just at the beginning for their curling careers, while their own is coming to an end.
