The Altona Maroons will meet the Plum Coulee Xpress in the 2011-2012 South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League final.
Ryan Dyck had a goal and an assist as Altona downed Morden 5-2. Phil Letkeman, Ryan Dyck, Justin Froese and Nick Fuher also scored for the Maroons who took the best-of-seven semifinal four games to two. Kelby Friesen and Keith Bially replied for the Redskins who trailed 2-0 after the first period and 3-1 after forty minutes.
Plum Coulee downed the Mercs 5-2 in Warren. The Xpress took that series in six games. Plum Coulee has won the SEMHL final two of the last three seasons. The Maroons, who last won the league title in 2001-2002, lost out to the Mercs two years ago in the final.
