The Portage Terriers opened their 2012 playoff run with a victory on home ice.

The Portage Terriers overcame the loss of their starting goaltender to take game one of the Addison Division semi-final series last night.

The team learned earlier in the week that they would be without the services of Shea Cooper for the forseeable future due to an injury suffered in practice. With the 30-game winner out of the line-up, 18-year-old Adam Iwan stepped in and brought his A-game. The Winnipeg native stopped 21 of 22 shots to earn the victory as the Terriers walked out with a 4-1 win over the Selkirk Steelers.

Adam Iwan made his MJHL playoff debut last night and earned a big game one victory.
