The PCI Trojans looked a lot like the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last night winning 42-27 over Kildonan East Reivers on Investors Group Field in Winnipeg.

The game was part of the Winnipeg High School Football League's United Way Games. Trojans' Head Coach Brent Irwin says they may have been a little stunned by their surroundings to begin the game and didn't get off to the best start.

"After we took possession of the ball on the opening kickoff our first play of the game we threw an interception to KE and they ran it back for about 60 yards for a touchdown. We settled down after that and tied it up, and got ahead 14-7 before the end of the quarter."

Irwin says a turning point in the game was when Kildonan East tied things up at 21 with 9 seconds to go in the half.

"We took the kickoff and had 6 seconds left in the game, we ran a 37 Sweep to Tyler Fedak and he ran it about 70 yards for a touchdown with no time on the clock."

Irwin gives his team credit for never giving up, and earning the win.

"There was just a no-quit attitude, and maybe a little extra motivation playing at IGF helped a bit, but the players were very determined right from the opening kickoff."

The Trojans' next match is a week from today when they host St. Norbert.
