Portage la Prairie R.C.M.P. are getting a chance to show off their skills on the hardwood and it is all for a worthy local cause.  Members of the detachment will be playing a game of basketball against the Portage Collegiate Institute student council on Monday, March 19th. Constable Shannon Neff says the game, has been arranged as a way to to bring in donations for the North Memorial School Breakfast program, which provides a nutritious breakfast for students who may not otherwise get one.

The program is dealing with shortages of cereal, so people who attend the game are being ask to bring with them a box of dry cereal to donate. Neff says if you cannot attend, you can still help out by dropping off a food donation to either the R.C.M.P detachment or at P.C.I. As for the game, it is open to the public and will take place on Monday at 11:15 a.m. at P.C.I. West Gym.
