Chris Bures of C.H.B. Development & several landowners at Mondays City Council meeting.

A new housing and condo development planned for Portage la Prairie's west end is running into a minor delay. C.H.B. Development is planning to develop 15 lots for residential homes and 8 lots for free standing condominiums on Kelly K Street. A few nearby homeowners however are asking for a bit more clarity on the situation. Chris Strusen says he along with several other property owners don't have a problem with the project but simply want some certainty on what the plan is.

Chris Bures of C.H.B. Development says he understands people want more information. He says this is an upper scale development that will fit in with the community.

Mayor Earl Porter says city council has heard what the community has to say and will review the application request and potentially change it requirements before allowing development on the property. That decision will likely be made at the next council meeting on Tuesday April 10th
