from Canad Inns helping with the fundraising BBQ Friday March 23rd.

Volunteers are needed to help Habitat For Humanity with its latest building project in Portage la Prairie. The group helped in bring in some funds during its BBQ on Friday at Reimer Antenna Service.

During the day, Organizing Committee Chairperson Larry Muirhead provided an update on the group & its current plans for its 5th housing build in the past 6 years. He says they need about 120 people to donate some time and effort for this worthy cause in mid-June.

The current plan is to begin digging out the basement in May, then putting up the structure in mid-June. The blitz days, where volunteers will be needed in full force are set for June 9th and 16th.

Muirhead says no matter what your experience level, they could always use an extra set of hands for this worthy cause. anyone interested in volunteering can 857-8211 or 857-5181 or get information at the website www.habitatportage.ca
