Dr. Sanjeev Reddy shared his experience with Rotary members Tuesday

Local dentist Dr. Sanjeev Reddy recently shared details of his trip to Estreli, Nicaragua with Rotary club members. Reddy was working through an organization called Kindness In Action and says there is a great need for dental care. He notes most people earn less than a couple dollars a day, and 80% of the people make less than that, so there is nothing left for dentistry. He explains they would begin around 8 a.m. and work right up until 6 in the evening. Even though they took lunch breaks he says they saw close to a couple hundred people a day, which made for long hours. He adds they planned to be there a week but after three days ran out of supplies and had to begin turning people away. Anyone interested in the project can contact Reddy or visit www.kindnessinaction.ca for further details.
