The Portage Regional Recreation Authority is requesting motorists be more respectful of the rules when it comes to parking at the P.C.U. Centre.  Illegal parking at the facility continues to be an ongoing issue, as vehicles are being seen both on the causeway and in the fire lane on the north side of the building. P.R.R.A. Executive Director Jennifer Sarna says there are more than enough options out there for vehicles and asks drivers to be mindful of the restricted signage.

Sarna says the P.R.R.A. has provided ample opportunity for people to follow the rules but that parking issues continue to be a concern. City Council would like to see a stricter crackdown on illegal parking. Sarna says if they have to take it to extreme measures, then it may be a future consequence that has to be considered.
