Portage la Prairie is getting a quick start on patching up potholes. Director of Public Works Brian Taylor says the temporary filling of the holes with cold mix is currently on the go. He says the City has been able to start this work a little earlier than usual because of the weather. The cold mix is used to fill in the holes to get the city into the summer season.

Taylor says while we have had a great winter and spring, Portage la Prairie will still keep its current schedule for permanent repairs to potholes, which is set to begin in June. As for the temporary fix, Taylor says anyone who finds potholes is asked to contact Operations at 239-8346 or operations@city.portage-la-prairie.mb.ca and the city will attend to them.
