CAA Manitoba has launched it's first ever Worst Roads Campaign and is looking for the public's input. Public and Government Affairs Minister for CAA Manitoba Liz Peters says other provinces have been doing this for many years. Peters notes they're looking for people to fill out a paper or online ballot and tell them which roads they think needs the most work. She adds this doesn't just include potholes or crumbling infrastructure but also congestion, safety issues, and other things they think need to be addressed.

Peters stresses infrastructure is the one thing every single person in Manitoba uses every single day and sometimes the government needs to be reminded that infrastructure needs to be top of mind. She explains  they will submit a list of the top ten roads directly to municipalities, asking for meetings to talk about these problems and, offer their help to fix the issues. Peters notes in Ontario, 90 percent of the time, roads that make the top of the list are already pegged for re-development, and this shows the government is already doing its job.
