24-year-old fined almost $2K for speeding near Portage

The Manitoba RCMP have fined an individual almost $2000 for a dangerous speeding offence.

Officers say that they caught a 24 year-old on Tuesday going 153 km/h in an a 80 km/h construction zone, on Highway 1 around Portage la Prairie.

The fine reportedly cost the individual approximately $1962.
