Active Transportation Continues Moving Forward With Pathways

Active Transportation in Portage la Prairie's been actively moving forward with future plans. :

"We've got some future plans laid out for Active Transportation (A.T.)," says Ian Wassink, Portage Active Transportation Committee Member. "And we've identified some particular areas of routes where the city should proceed with next, especially with connecting the north and south ends of the city."

Wassink explains future long-term corridor studies are in place to connect Tupper Streets North and South. He adds they also want complete the loop along the Crescent at the west end to go east and south into the south end of Koko Platz.

"Those are kind of the main areas," he continues. "And we're curious to see what the public thinks about that; if that's on the right track, or if we're totally off-base and we should be focusing on other aspects of active transportation. And also, of all these ideas for A.T. which one should we start doing first?"
