Golden West's Annual Radiothon in support of STARS Air Ambulance raised over $114,000 this year.

The annual event took place over two days this week and the generous donors in and around Portage la Prairie contributed over $42,000 to the cause.

Long Plain First Nation and Arrowhead Development Corporation were among the donors with the deepest pockets, giving $2,500 each to stars.

From April 2019 to March 31 2020 STARS flew a total of 37 missions to Portage la Prairie. Additionally, STARS flew 10 missions to Sandy Bay and was also active in communities such as MacGregor, Gladstone, Treherne and Austin.

Since beginning full-time operations in Manitoba in 2011, STARS crews have flown more than 200 missions to Portage la Prairie.

When supporting STARS you are helping to make a difference in the lives of your fellow Manitobans by ensuring that they have access to life-saving critical care when they need it most.
