Parents with kids under six years old are receiving their first installment of the Universal Child Care Benefit this month.

It provides $1200.00 a month for each child, and was promised by the Conservatives during the last election.

Selkirk-Interlake MP James Bezan has received significant support for the measure in his riding. He's hearing parents like the flexibility in making child care decisions.

Bezan's pleased his party has been able to make good on another election promise.
