"Blinket" donations are needed to benefit unfortunate children.

A mother in Elie is taking a second crack at a fundraiser to benefit children in need, motivated by her own.

Jaime Barron is looking for what she calls "blinkets" -- referring to quilts, blankets, hats, mitts, and scarves -- to sell during the second annual Bake, Bake and Blinkets Sale in Elie.  All proceeds are going directly towards children who need it most.

Barron is also accepting new teddy bears, it'll be sent to orphaned children with HIV.

She stresses one person really can make a difference, saying the profit made from a quilt can feed a family for a week.

Barron's main concern this year is attendance, as last year's fell short of her expectations.
