After recording his 85th career shutout Martin Brodeur has moved up in to 3rd place on the NHL's all-time list. 

There were 12 games in the NHL last night including New Jersey and Pittsburgh.  Martin Brodeur was able to keep the puck out of the net in the contest and recorded his 85th career shutout, surpassing Glenn Hall on the NHL's all-time list.
Elsewhere Vancouver put a stop to Calgary's 10 game home win streak with a 3-1 victory. 
The Leafs ended a three game losing skid by picking up a 4-3 win over Minnesota.  The Leafs have a mere 4 wins in their last 14 games.  In other NHL action Buffalo doubled up Washington 6-3, Carolina outscored Florida 4-2, Atlanta got by Tampa Bay 2-1, Columbus needed overtime to beat the Bruins 5-4, Chicago nipped Dallas 2-1, The Islanders blanked the Rangers 2-0, Nashville scored a 3-2 shootout victory over St. Louis, In another shootout the Kings slipped past Phoenix 4-3 and Anaheim beat San Jose 4-3. 

In NFL news Pittsburgh Steelers Coach Bill Cowher is set to announce his plans for the future in a couple of days as the team wraps up their season with a game against the Bengals this Sunday.  Cowher has coached the last 15 seasons.
