A number of provincial campgrounds have closed, now that the Labour Day weekend has passed.

However, the nice weather we're experiencing has meant there's still interest.

Barry Bentham of Manitoba Parks notes while there are fewer people at the campgrounds remaining open, there hasn't been an increase  in animal traffic. At the same time, he recommends taking the same precautions as at any other time of year.

Bentham says a number of campgrounds are already closed for the season. At those still open, they'll provide services as long as possible. He adds admission fees don't change.
