Canada and Finland meet today at 8:30 a.m. in the quarter-finals at the World Junior Hockey Championship in Pardubice, Czech Republic.

Canada had three wins and a loss in the preliminary round. Russia will face the Czech Republic this afternoon. The winners will join Sweden and the United States in the semi-finals on Friday.

Team West can advance to the semi-finals of the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in London, Ontario with a victory today over Russia. Both teams have two wins and a loss. Team West, which consists of 11 players from Manitoba and 11 from Saskatchewan, beat Germany 3-2 and Team Atlantic 7-4 before dropping a 7-4 decision to the United States this past Monday.
