The preliminary round is over at the World Women's Under-18 Hockey Championship in Calgary.

Ste.Anne's Bailey Bram had two goals and two assists and Rebecca Hewett of Oak Bluff and Chelsea Karpenko of Winnipeg each had two assists as Canada won it's third straight game downing Finland 17-0. Canadian goaltender Delayne Brian of Winnipeg faced just six shots. Canada will meet Sweden while the United States will take on the Czech Republic in the semi-finals on Friday.

Manitoba Moose netminder Drew MacIntyre has been named to the Canadian All-Star Team for the 2008 American Hockey League All-Star Classic which will be held January 27th-28th in Binghamton, New York. MacIntyre has appeared in 22 games with the Moose this season posting a record of 14-7-1 with a goals against average of 2.25 and a save percentage of .924. The Charlottetown native is currently tied for fifth among all AHL goaltenders in wins (14) and holds the fourth-best save percentage in the league.
