Canada and Russia will play for Gold at the World Junior Hockey Championship today at 12:30 p.m. in Leskand, Sweden.

It marks the third straight year the two countries have met in the championship game. Canada won the previous two Gold medal games in Grand Forks and Vancouver. The United States and Sweden will meet in the Bronze medal game this morning at 9 a.m.

In the NHL last night, Alex Steen had a five point night scoring a hat trick and adding two assists as the Leafs downed the Bruins 10-2.  Elsewhere Ales Hemsky tied the game with a few seconds left, however the Oilers ended up losing 6-5 in a shootout to Dallas.  Calgary beat Florida 5-4 in overtime but lost Jarome Iginla, he left the contest with a lower leg injury.  Montreal fell 5-1 to Washington last night, with the win the Capitals ended a five game losing streak.  In other action the Rangers got by Philadelphia 3-2, Phoenix blanked Carolina 2-0, New Jersey nipped the Islanders 4-3, St. Louis shutout Chicago 2-0, Tampa Bay skated to a 3-2 win over Minnesota and San Jose outscored Detroit 9-4.
