Central Plains Cancer Care Services benefited from yesterday's Potato Festival. The annual charity slow-pitch game between McCain and Simplot was once again held to raise money for the charitable organization.  Spokesperson Daisy Dowhy notes yesterday's event raised over $7000 to add to the over $6500 that was raised by the first two games. The proceeds will be used locally to continue to provide programs and services for cancer patients and their families.
Dowhy is grateful for the tremendous support the business community has shown over the past three years and is thankful for prize donations for the silent auction.
