Portage's city manager has received a pin from the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators to commemorate 10 years of municipal service in a managerial position.

Nathan Peto became the manager for the city in December of 2017 after working in Brandon for six years, taking over from Jean-Marc Nadeau. When he got to the city, he went right to work to show Portagers he was willing to do whatever he could for them.

He also spent time as president of the Portage Rotary Club before handing those responsibilities off to current president Jennifer Campbell.

Peto also is on the Shared Health board of directors. He's the only person from Portage la Prairie on the board.
