Last night in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, the Terriers used some last second magic to pull even with the Kings and force overtime after trailing 3-1 in Dauphin.

From there Austin Helie clenched the winner for the Dogs, 2:26 into the extra frame, mopping up a rebound offered from Kings' netminder Adrian Rubeniuk from an Eric Delong shot. Chris Benias notched the equalizer at the 18:43 mark of the third, with Delong and Stan Yanchishyn scoring the other two Portage goals.

Terrier head coach, Blake Spiller, feels they competed really well last night, although he admits his club had trouble finding the back of the net once again, but notes Rubeniuk played outstanding between the pipes for Dauphin. Further to that, Spiller says based on the Terrier shot total, 43, he felt they deserved to win the game, and had they not, he says he would've been quite disappointed. Portage starting netminder, Matt Korchmar, normally quite sharp, struggled last night, allowing some questionable goals, and Spiller points out it wasn't until he made the switch in net replacing Korchmar with Mike Marino in the 3rd, that the team starting getting solid goaltending, which inevitably gave them a chance to win.

Dauphin goals were marked by Jordan Smith, Joel Malchuk and Jeff Neustater.
