An All-Star game to remember in Atlanta ended with the Eastern Conference on top 8-7.

Rick Nash set a new All-Star game record by scoring just 12 seconds into the game. Nash would finish with a hat-trick but it was Eric Staal that took home the MVP award with a 2 goals and one assist. Boston's Marc Savard scored with 20 seconds left to seal the win for the East.

West goalie Evgeni Nabokov stopped all 8 shots he faced in the second period. It was the first time a goalie hadn't given up a goal in a period since Nikolai Khabibulin in the 2002 All-Star game.
