It'll cost snowmobilers more to travel on designated trails this winter.

The province has reached an agreement with the company that maintains the trails, and the cost of annual passes will jump from 70 dollars to 85 dollars.

Club Snow president -- Phil Neudorf points the finger at increased costs of fuel and maintenance.

Even with the increase, Neudorf stresses the costs of grooming the trails will still outweigh the revenue generated from the passes.  He explains the increase will actually be refunded to the snowmobiler in the form of frequent trail grooming.
