Portage la Prairie RCMP want your help in solving a case after someone was the victim of a bear spray attack under the Tupper Street Bridge on Sunday night.

The RCMP received the report at 11:20 p.m., that the victim was sprayed with bear spray by a group of people who then fled the scene. Police saw a group of people matching the description nearby at a business on Saskatchewan Avenue East. Three of the suspects were arrested and two cans of bear spray were seized.

A 13-year-old girl from Sandy Bay First Nation, a 19-year-old man from Sandy Bay First Nation, and a 15-year-old girl from Portage la Prairie were all arrested and face various weapons charges. A 14-year-old girl from Portage was later found in the north end of the city and was arrested and faces a weapons charge. All four were released to appear in court at a later date.

RCMP continue to investigate as there were more people involved in the attack.
