Golf is back in Portage. The Portage Golf Club has now officially opened its course to the public for this season.

The first day back was Friday, April 2nd and it has come to the joy of many citizens who now have something they can do while social distancing. With great weather hitting the region the past few days, it was the ideal reopening for the Portage Golf Club.

Scotswood Links Golf Course in Elm Creek also opened up for the season on Friday, whereas the Carman Golf Club will begin its season Tuesday, April 6th. Southport Golf Course will be taking a little extra time to get things in order as they start their new year of golf on April 15th and MacGregor's course will be doing the same, hoping for a middle of the month opening.

One unusual restriction all courses will have to abide by, for the time being, is not being able to sell alcohol to golfers due to COVID-19 restrictions.
