James Garnham

James Garnham of Portage la Prairie, beloved husband of Pearl, passed away at Portage la Prairie on Wednesday, July 8 at the age of 84 years

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Pearl in 1994;  parents Alfred and Zella;  sons Ronald in 2005 and Ben in 2014;  son-in-law Bill Armishaw; brothers Robert, Alfred, Alvin, Bill, Leslie and Stan; and sister Ethel.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children Gwen Armishaw, Donald Garnham, Brenda Muckley (Gary Costley), Myrna (Roy) Dezeng and Marge (Victor) Smoke all of Portage, daughters-in-law Sally Vivier and Carol Garnham along with 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.  Also left to mourn are his brother George Garnham; sisters Amy Lyttle, Muriel Connelly and Joyce Lidster; sister-in-law Frances Garnham and Ethel Garnham; many nieces and nephews and their families

Viewing will be held at McKenzie United Church on 11th Street N.W., on Monday, July 13 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm

Funeral service will take place at McKenzie United Church, Monday, July 13th at 2:30 pm

Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens

Should friends so desire, donations in memory of James Garnham may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Mental Health or to Central Plains Cancer Care.
