Another win for the Portage Collegiate Trojans Junior Varsity Boys Volleyball team last night. They took to the court at Shaftesbury High School in Winnipeg and defeated the Titans 25-18 in the third set. Jessica Painter is coach for the team and says the boys worked well together, which helped them keep the lead.

"We had over-all really good passing and great serving," says Painter. "Which allowed us to lead throughout the game. We took it in 3 sets."

Painter adds the boys had some great coverage in the second and third set, noting "bodies were hitting the floor".

"We had some really good passing from Brady Lambert, Duncan Hodgson, and Shawn Greene," explains Painter. "As well as great serving from Brady Lambert and Jared Verhoeven, and Ryan Botterill led us in kills with 7."

Meanwhile, the Varsity Boys take on the John Taylor Pipers tonight at 6:00.
