Manitoba Angels lost this morning at the Midget Girls Canadian Fastpitch Championships in Guelph, Ontario. The host Guelph Gators exploded for seven runs in the first three innings, en route to a 7-0 victory. The Angels' ended the tournament with a record of 4-and-4. Portage's Lana Dubois is a member of the Angels.

The Manitoba Junior Baseball League playoffs saw Elmwood thump Interlake 9-2. The Giants lead the best of five final 2-1.

Winnipeg Ggoldeyes couldn't follow up on Thursday's victory in the Northern League. Kansas City posted a 3-2 triumph.

Harness racing scheduled for today in Miami has been cancelled. The town is still experiencing significant rain.
However, they're planning on holding races tomorrow, starting at 1:30.
