The 26.2 mile Manitoba Marathon went yesterday in Winnipeg.  The 28th annual run was an excellent experience for local participants.  ''Twice As Nice'' a group of five local runners took in the relay portion of the marathon, Denyse Palas was part of the relay team, she says it took lots of preparation and the team started training on the treadmill as well as outside early in this year.
It was the group's second time running the marathon, they managed to shave about ten minutes off of last year's time finishing the race with a time of 4:48:18 seconds.  Palas adds with more training they hope to beat this year's time next year.
