Kindergarten to Grade 8 students in MacGregor displayed their creativity during an art gallery for the community last Wednesday.

Adrianna Boychuk, McGregor Elementary Art Teacher, says the event was an excellent showcase for her students.

"There were a lot of parents, students and families coming out. Yeah, it was really good."

While setting up the gallery may have started at noon on May 24, it wasn't until 4 p.m. that it was ready to be seen, going until 6 p.m.

Boychuk explains that the gallery highlighted artwork that students had worked on from the start of the school year until May.

"It's really nice to see how excited they (the students) are to show their parents their artwork, and you see them taking pictures of their art. They are proud, so it makes me proud to see that."

The Art Teacher adds that throughout the year, students do a lot of work with oil pastels and acrylic paint with different incorporating diiferent themes into those techniques.

Boychuk notes that the big day could only happen due to help from everyone at the school.

"We wouldn't have been able to do it without all the help from our staff and our students."
