Many area high schools are celebrating graduation this weekend, including MacGregor Collegiate. With the conclusion of the academic year, the institution's girls fastpitch coach is looking back on the season that was.

Tanya Polasek, who was a part-time teacher at MCI, coached club this season. She feels this was a solid building year for the Mustangs, adding she saw a great deal of individual improvement among her players. Having said that, she admits there are many facets to their game that need to be worked on such as hitting, defensive fundamentals and base running.

To that end, Polasek says that MacGregor will have a high percentage of a much improved pitching rotation returning and so she's looking forward to fielding a strong club next season.

MacGregor competes in Zone 7 high school athletics and failed to make the post-season this year.
