| Local 4H clubs will use a fundraiser today to promote community service. Manitoba Agriculture Farm Production Adviser Shawn Cabak says dozens of groups across the province are expected to take part in the annual spring highway cleanup including Austin, Gainsborough, MacGregor, Portage Beef as well as Portage Canter. The fundraiser will take place between 9:00 a.m and 3 p.m. There will be signs along the highways to alert motorists. Cabak adds the 4H program promotes community service. Manitoba Transportation recognizes the value of the program and gives money for every kilometre cleaned. |
