Update:

Eric Wildman was taken into custody by the Ontario Provincial Police at approximately 5:30 a.m., Central time this morning, at a home just outside Belleville, Ont., roughly 200 km from Toronto.

 The Manitoba RCMP has provided an update on the search for Eric Wildman.

Police say they have obtained surveillance footage showing Eric Wildman at the Lowe’s Home Improvement located on Panet Road in Winnipeg on June 11 at 6:41 p.m.

Wildman is then observed entering a cab at 6:55 p.m., where he was dropped off at the Winnipeg International Airport. He then enters the terminal, approaches a car rental kiosk, and picks up a 2020 Chevy Equinox.

Police say Wildman is seen wearing shorts, a t-shirt, runners, a white camouflage baseball cap and a surgical mask in the footage.

RCMP notes a credible sighting of Wildman was reported on the evening of June 15 in the Lockport area. He was spotted driving the grey 2020 Chevy Equinox east on Highway 44.

If anyone sees Eric Wildman or this vehicle do not approach as he is considered armed and dangerous, call 911 immediately.

 

The Manitoba RCMP is asking you to be on the lookout for an SUV which may be connected to the ongoing hunt for Eric Wildman.

Police say Wildman may be driving a charcoal grey 2020 Chevy Equinox with Manitoba license plate KGE 368. Police have received further information that Wildman is possibly in the City of Winnipeg as of June 14.

The Manitoba RCMP stresses Wildman is considered armed and dangerous and to not approach him. If you see this vehicle or have any information of its whereabouts, contact 911 immediately.

Manitoba RCMP has begun a search of a rural property in the RM of St. Clements.

Officers are asking that the media and public avoid the area, as Wildman is still at large. The RCMP has released images from the search of the suspect's car, and will release visuals from the scene of the current search.

The RCMP will also be providing more information from its Winnipeg headquarters later today.

 

The Manitoba RCMP is looking for a 34-year-old concerning the disappearance and homicide of 40-year-old Clifford Joseph.

Eric Paul Wildman from the RM of St. Clements is described as six foot two, 170 lbs with blue eyes. Police say he’s considered armed and dangerous.

Police recovered Wildman's vehicle, and a search turned up tactical police equipment, police patches, and other items resembling police clothing. The RCMP says it's currently unknown if Wildman has any other police-related clothing or equipment.

Mounties note Wildman was last seen on foot in the East Kildonan area in the City of Winnipeg and is known to frequent the city and the RM of St Clements.

Police say that extensive efforts are continuing to locate and apprehend him.
