You may have noticed some activity around Ian's Hardware in Portage la Prairie today. It's action to accompany the lights and cameras with a film crew from 21st Century Fox who's filming scenes for the movie of a boy who crashed into the ice and survived after several minutes of being in the water, starring Chrissy Metz. Scenes for the movie were shot earlier this year on the Island at the golf club building.
