The Fort La Reine Museum is experiencing an increase in tourism this year.

Manage John Bjorne explains they have completed some structural up-grades at the facility with more ongoing. He says they received $4700 to paint the Burton House and are currently working on the Case House.

He thinks the nice weather is another contributing factor to the increase in attendance. Bjorne adds this year they've had tours from schools in May and June and a number of tours since, including one from England coming next week.

All up grades should be complete by next year.
