Local campground owners aren't overly concerned despite the high risks of bush fires in several regions of Manitoba.

Michelle Espenell of Lynch's Point has many safeguards in place including fire pits and additional water resources for extinguishing fires.  She also patrols the campsites to ensure the safety of her campers, whom she has confidence in.

While Espenell doesn't have any intention of enforcing any bans, she is aware of the high risk of fires.  She feels not all blazes are caused by campfires, and points the finger towards human error -- children playing with lighters and burning cigarettes.

Meanwhile over at Sportsman's Corner, Lyn Parker has noticed a decline in smokers, which has helped ease her fire concerns.
