Austin is welcoming athlete Terri-Lynne Wiebe back from half way around the world.

After qualifying in the Brandon National Special Olympics Wiebe earned a spot at the World Games in Shanghai, China. The 30 year old focuses on track and field an managed 6th place in the 100 meter dash and 4th place in the 200. Wiebe spent two weeks in China, and right now she isn't sure where her athletic career is headed. She plans to continue training and see what the future brings, but for now she's getting used to her own country again.
Wiebe says it was very exciting to see a different culture, and she was able to make quite a few new friends. She notes they made a good connection with the volunteers there , and leaving China was an emotional experience.
