The Portage Padres are looking to take a commanding lead in the Santa Clara Baseball League Finals tonight.

After two games of the series, Portage has picked up three points needing six to become champions, whereas their opponents, the Plumas Pirates, only have one.

Game 1 of the series resulted in a 13-13 tie, which forced the teams to switch over to a point system for this series. A tie is one point, a win is two points, and a loss is zero points.

The Padres will be on their home field tonight, with Game 4 going down in Plumas on Thursday. Both of those contests will begin at 6:30.
