Portage-Lisgar MP Brian Pallister is extremely happy with yesterday's federal budget.

He thinks it's the best of the 15 he's seen in his time in Parliament.

Pallister's convinced rural Canada will benefit from the budget, especially the 16 billion dollars toward infrastructure. He says it shows how the Tories support other levels of government.

Pallister adds the budget strikes a balance between paying down the national debt and assisting people in need.

He says the Liberals and NDP don't support the budget because they know the Bloc Quebecois will, and there's no danger of an election.
