PHYLIS HILDA CRAIN

Beloved mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother

Passed away peacefully, surrounded with the love of her family at home in Elie MB, on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at the age of 91, following a lengthy illness. 

Born in Monquart, Carleton Co., N.B. on March 25, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Vincent Crain, and Alice Lena (Wright) Crain.

She is survived by her sons; Stephen of Cambridge, ON, Philip (Connie) of Connaught ON, Daniel (Lisa) of Oakville, ON and her daughter Alice (Mrs. Dwaine Schade) of Winnipeg, MB., her brother Frank of Dumfries, N.B.  She is also survived by sister-in-law, Maisie (Mrs. Basil Crain), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Maisie (Mrs. Basil Crain) and Louise (Mrs. Paul Crain).

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sons; Elwood, Richard (Kimberley) and Joey (Veronica); brothers; Perley, Earl, Clifford, Basil, Jack, Paul and Lee, as well as sisters; Hazel Marie, Lilla Gertrude, Thelma (Mrs. Carvell Campbell), and Edith (Mrs Daverne Cronkhite). 

Phylis worked as a LPN in Toronto for 21 years.  She was an avid baker, reader and walker. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting.  

With following Phylis' wishes, her remains will be interred in the New Lennentine Cemetery, Southampton, NB.
