It was a must win for the Portage Collegiate Trojans soccer team and the squad came through.

The Trojans were victorious over the Westwood Warriors 1-0 Monday night. Head coach Mike Robinson says losing was simply not an option.

"It was as close to a must win as you could get coming into the game and the team delivered with gutsy performances up front and in front of our net," says Robinson. "We only allowed a handful of shot attempts, with only two on net."

Kristjan Harley was the only player to find the back of the net.

The PCI Saints did not have the same success on this night. They dropped a 3-1 decision to Westwood. Alex Sarna was PCI's sole scorer, receiving a sweet pass from Grace Moar. The Saints have one road game left, while the Trojans prepare for playoffs now. The Saints travel to take on Fort Richmond Collegiate tomorrow (Wednesday). Both teams start their playoffs Thursday.
